About Gooney Creek Campground
Gooney Creek Campground is a place shaped by its creek—clear, peaceful, and alive with nature.
In 2025, the campground found a new steward in Mia, who grew up in a small Chinese village where daily life centered around a beautiful mountain creek. Her childhood was spent exploring the water, listening to its flow, and developing a lifelong love for the natural world.
Mia’s motto is Love nature, live naturally, and she hopes every camper feels the peace and joy of this land just as she does.
Artwork by Pam Marcon, a former owner, still decorates the campground with colorful murals and paintings, adding warmth and creativity to the natural beauty of the place.
